Chef Carlos grew up in Mexico City in a food culture as diverse and unique as any in the world. After leaving Mexico when he was 19, he spent many years working in kitchens across the US and discovering his passion for creating food that everyone can enjoy


Hard work and dedication through his training at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute landed him a highly coveted gig at a Michelin-starred restaurant in California before he finally made his way to Canada.

In Edmonton, Chef Carlos and his business partner - Janette, started the Casa12Doce food truck. Set up for many years in various parking lots throughout the city, Casa12Doce became not only a staple of the food truck scene but also of the community.

The delicious, authentic food created a following so loyal that when Chef Carlos and Janette decided to open a restaurant in 2016, it did not take long for the place to fill up regularly. Now, they are looking to the future, as they have been so fortunate to have such amazing clientele. In the meantime, they will always look forward to seeing you at the restaurant and the truck.

A creamy, mildly spicy sauce featuring the bold flavours of garlic and jalapeno. Garlic-Jalapeno is vegan friendly and makes a perfect substitution for any mayonnaise-based sauces such as an aioli. Drench your tacos in it. Dunk your fries. Add it to your chicken salad. Just be sure to save some for sharing as this is sure to be a family favorite!

Ingredients: Garlic, jalapeno peppers, salt, canola oil, ascorbic acid.



A medium spicy sauce with a rich smoky flavour. Morita peppers are combined with garlic to create a sauce perfect for both your tacos and as a steak sauce. Toss some baby potatoes and chicken wings in Garlic-Morita and throw them on the barbecue for an easy meal. Love a steak sandwich? Don’t forget to add Garlic-Morita. And put Garlic-Morita on all of your favorite meatless options to give them meaty flavour!

Ingredients: Garlic, morita peppers, canola oil, water, salt, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate.

Our establishment is cozy, so we do recommend reservations for both lunch and dinner, especially if you are wanting to secure a table during peak dining times.

We can only accept reservations for groups up to 4 people during peak dining times, (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm). We are happy to try and work with our customers to accommodate special requests regarding the size of reservation as long as they are willing to work with us.

Our reservations are allotted a 90 minute time limit, unless the customer requests longer up to a maximum of two (2) hours deppending on availability.

Please know that as you have made a reservation to come in and enjoy our establishment, so have several other people. Please be sure your group is on time for your reservation, as it is likely there is another reservation following yours. We cannot add any lost minutes to the end of your reservation.

Should there be a change in your reservation, i.e.: extra people, less people, time change, let us know ahead of time. We will try to accommodate whatever changes you may have, but we make no guarantees.

We will attempt to contact you if you are 10 minutes late for your reservation. There will be a 5 minute grace period for you to call us back, or show up for your table. If we are not able to contact you or we do not hear back from you, your reservation will be released back into our inventory for another client to enjoy.
